Accounts and imported wallets
VOUT can keep more than one wallet account on a device. Each account has its own balance and activity. Some accounts share a recovery phrase; others have independent keys. That difference determines what you must save for recovery.

Switch or add an account
Tap the account name on Home to open Switch account. Choose an account to use it, or open Manage for the Accounts screen. Check the selected account before copying a receive address, approving a payment, or exporting a backup.
From Accounts, choose Add account. VOUT offers the following choices where the current wallet supports them:

Give the account a name you can distinguish from your other accounts. VOUT can publish a name you choose as your Chat nickname; the name screen explains this before you save it. A label or avatar is useful for navigation, but check the receiving address when moving funds.
Import a recovery phrase
Choose Import a wallet → Recovery phrase and enter the phrase in the secure import screen. Use the original address type: native SegWit, Nested SegWit, Legacy, or Taproot. Include the original BIP39 passphrase if the wallet used one. The wallet passcode and a BIP39 passphrase are separate secrets.
The same phrase can produce different addresses with a different passphrase, address type, or account index. If the imported balance looks empty, check those details before deciding that the funds are missing.
A phrase import recovers keys. To recover existing RGB proofs and payment state, use the wallet’s full VOUT backup.
Import a Bitcoin private key
Choose Bitcoin private key for a WIF key. Select its original address type and check the address before completing the import.
This creates a Bitcoin-only account with one fixed address. It has no recovery phrase and does not support RGB. Importing the key does not move its funds to a new key. Keep the original WIF and address type offline, or save an encrypted VOUT backup.
Exporting one address’s private key from an HD wallet does not back up its other receiving or change addresses.
Keep recovery scoped correctly
Accounts derived from one phrase share that phrase, but their RGB records are separate. A full backup saves only the selected account on the selected network. Create a backup for each account you use, and keep the account index with your recovery records.
Networks are also separate. A balance on a test network will not appear on Mainnet. If account switching pauses while a payment is being submitted, open the existing payment and let its status resolve before switching.
